Case & Steel Work

The case follows the familiar Datejust silhouette: compact, comfortable, and easy to wear for long hours. For this build we use 904L-type corrosion-resistant steel, polished and brushed in alternating sections. The fluted bezel is cut with a tighter angle so the reflections stay crisp even months after regular wear. We’ve learned that poorly cut bezels lose their sharpness quickly, so we machine these in smaller batches to keep the ridges uniform.

The watch measures 36mm in diameter, which is still one of the most versatile sizes we assemble. It carries enough presence to feel substantial, but it never overwhelms smaller wrists.

Crystal & Date Window

The crystal is sapphire, treated with a subtle anti-reflective coating on the underside only, which keeps the surface clear without giving the watch an obvious tinted layer. The date window uses a 2.5× cyclops, aligned manually during assembly. It’s a small step, but on blue dials misalignment stands out immediately, so we adjust each piece individually.

Dial Printing & Ink

Our team uses heat-cured metallic ink for the text, which holds contrast better against the blue background. Cheaper builds often use soft ink that fades or develops a “milky” outline around the letters. We test each print plate for crispness because smudged text is one of the easiest ways to ruin an otherwise strong dial.

Movement

Inside the watch is our 3235-style automatic movement, built with a smooth rotor track and reinforced balance bridge. We assemble these with the expectation that the owner will wear the watch daily rather than treat it as a collectible. The movement isn’t designed for microscope-level finishing; it’s designed to feel steady, wind smoothly, and stay consistent week after week. When clients ask how long it will last, my honest answer is simple: take care of it the way you would any mechanical watch, and it will take care of you.

Bracelet

The Jubilee-style bracelet is one of the parts I’m personally most proud of. When properly assembled, it drapes with a gentle curve instead of sitting stiff. Each link segment is brushed and polished separately before assembly, which keeps the transitions clean. We use solid end links to give the watch a confident fit against the case.

Wearing Experience

This blue dial version has a calmer personality compared to the brighter silver or mother-of-pearl pieces. It’s elegant without being fragile, and the color gives it a modern touch without moving away from the classic Datejust profile. Many people choose it because it feels like something you can wear every day—meetings, dinners, errands—without needing to protect it like a delicate object.
